Terms of Service
Last updated 16 October 2026 · Effective 1 October 2026
Agreement
By downloading or using Dosearoo, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
These terms are between you and RDCP Software (ABN 75 650 445 935), New South Wales, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). They apply together with our Privacy Policy.
Not medical advice
Dosearoo is a record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not give medical advice and does not replace a doctor, pharmacist or the medicine’s label.
- Dose suggestions. For some medicines, the app suggests a dose based on the label and your child’s age or weight. These suggestions are a convenience only. You must check every dose against the product label and any advice from your doctor or pharmacist before confirming it.
- Labels change. Built-in medicine details may not match the product you have. Brands, strengths and formulations vary and change over time. The label on your product always takes priority.
- Barcode lookups. When a scanned barcode isn’t in the app’s library, the product name the app suggests comes from third-party databases and may be wrong or incomplete. Check it against the box before saving.
- Your decisions. You are responsible for what medicine your child takes, how much and when. Ask a doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
In an emergency, call 000. If you think your child has taken too much medicine, call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 (24 hours, Australia-wide). For general health advice, call healthdirect on 1800 022 222.
Your responsibilities
To use Dosearoo, you must be 18 or over and be the parent, guardian or authorised carer of any child you add.
You agree to:
- enter information accurately and keep it up to date, including your child’s weight
- check that each medicine, dose and reminder is correct before relying on it
- keep your device secure, as anyone who can unlock it can see the app’s data
- keep any backup or export files somewhere safe, as they contain your children’s health information and are not encrypted by the app
- tell other carers directly about doses given, rather than relying on the app alone
Licence and acceptable use
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Dosearoo on devices you own or control, for your family’s own use.
You must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose. The app, its name, logo and design belong to RDCP Software. The information you enter belongs to you.
Reminders, data and availability
Reminders depend on your device. They may be late or not arrive if notifications are turned off, the device is in Do Not Disturb, battery-saving or low-power mode, is switched off, or the operating system limits background apps. Please don’t rely on Dosearoo as your only way to remember a dose.
Your data is stored only on your device. We can’t recover it if your device is lost, damaged, reset or replaced, so export a backup file from the app’s Settings, or use your device’s backup service, if you want a copy. Backup files don’t include child photos.
We may update, change or stop offering the app or any feature. We aim to keep it working well but don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. The barcode lookup relies on third-party services, which may be unavailable or change without notice.
Your consumer rights and our liability
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights or any other right you have by law that cannot be excluded.
To the extent the law allows:
- the app is provided “as is”, and we exclude all other warranties and conditions
- we are not liable for loss caused by information you entered incorrectly, a dose you confirmed without checking the label, or a reminder that did not arrive because of your device or its settings
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss
- where a consumer guarantee is not met and our liability can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again
App store terms
If you download Dosearoo from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must also follow that store’s terms of use.
For the Apple version, these terms are between you and RDCP Software only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. RDCP Software, not Apple, is responsible for the app, for any claims about it (including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims), and for any warranty that applies by law. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
General
Ending use. You can stop using Dosearoo at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously breach these terms.
Changes. We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the courts of New South Wales.
If part is invalid. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
